The Digital Well Podcast live from Morningstar with Curtis Ware of Redtail

The Digital Well podcast landed at the Morningstar Investment Conference last week in Chicago (see the hashtag #MICUS – it was highly engaged and trended on Twitter) as part of the Social Media Lounge. In between our workshop activities, discussing strategies for differentiating yourself online, keeping a cache of fresh content flowing and exploring new tools like Google+ Hangouts, we had some guests stop by.

Curtis Ware, Redtail Technology, sat and chatted up how his firm is building community directly through its own web applications, virtual training sessions as well as through Facebook and Twitter.

Some interesting steps Redtail has taken include deploying a help desk integrated to accept requests from Facebook and Twitter. While that is not revolutionary, its also not widespread in our industry yet. I also like the feedback site where users can propose, comment and vote up or down new potential features and functions in their applications.
